Healthcost is a UK based company with unparalleled experience and expertise in the provision of patient level costing solutions (PLICS) to hospitals. For over the last fifteen years we have provided NHS Trusts in the UK and hospitals in other countries with the information they need to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery to patients.

Our software allows hospitals to produce robust and reliable Service Line Reporting (SLR) on a frequent basis, enabling hospitals to be pro-active in managing costs and importantly understand any large movements in expenditure. An added benefit of PLICS costing model is that is allows hospitals to better understand the national cost collection (known as Reference Costs), as the output for the return is built at a patient level and therefore from the bottom up and not based on averages driven to patients on a top down basis.

Healthcost is only focused on providing services to hospitals and other healthcare related bodies. Operating solely within the healthcare sector, has enabled us to develop robust cost and income allocation methods to extract the best results for all the organisations we work with.

At Healthcost, we believe experience counts, whether it is providing patient costing solutions to hospitals or health funding policy advice to governments. Our consultants have implemented PLICS in numerous countries, such as: UK, Germany, France, the Republic of Ireland, Slovenia, Turkey, Bosnia, Singapore and Australia. We also provide high level advice surrounding casemix funding policy to government bodies and external organisations such as the World Bank and health insurance fund.

Healthcost has been a recognised partner of HFMA for the past couple of years, we have seen many benefits of this partnership status and have been guest speakers at several regional branch events as a result.

Healthcost is a recognised official partner of QlikTech in the sale and deployment of QlikView in the UK and Ireland, to date we have had over a dozen successful deployments of QlikView in the UK and Ireland, we have also delivered training to many organisations to aid in the use and development of QlikView reporting needs.
